Bhutan’s Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals and Singapore’s KITKOJI Sign Strategic MOU to Bring Bhutanese Wellness to Global Markets and Develop World’s First AI-Powered Diagnostic Platform

Singapore / Thimphu, Bhutan — March 24, 2026 — Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals Corporation Limited (MSPCL), a state-owned pharmaceutical company of the Kingdom of Bhutan, and KITKOJI Pte Ltd from Singapore today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the global commercialization of traditional wellness products based on Sowa Rigpa, the Himalayan system of medicine, while jointly exploring the development of the World’s first AI-powered diagnostic platform for Bhutan Traditional Medicine
The strategic partnership aims to combine Bhutan’s centuries-old medical knowledge with modern biotechnology, digital health technologies, and international commercialization expertise. Through the collaboration, KITKOJI will work with MSPCL to introduce traditional wellness formulations to international markets under the “Gakid” brand, beginning with a launch globally exclusively on www.Gakid.com
The pilot program will include a portfolio of wellness capsule supplement products formulated from natural ingredients, including Reishi (Lingzhi), Lion’s Mane, Seabuckthorn, Black Turmeric, Tumeric, packaged in organic vegetable capsules. Some of the exciting new products in the pipeline include: Chage, Turkey’s Tail, and Maitake Mushroom. These natural supplement products represent the first phase of a broader initiative to introduce Sowa Rigpa-inspired wellness solutions to global consumers.
Beyond product commercialization, the partnership will focus on education and cultural exchange, including joint public talks, international events, and professional engagements designed to raise awareness of Sowa Rigpa’s holistic philosophy and its role in preventive health and wellness.
A key component of the collaboration is a forward-looking digital health initiative. In the next phase of the partnership, the two organizations intend to explore the development of what could become the world’s first AI-powered diagnostic device for Bhutan Traditional Medicine, designed to integrate traditional diagnostic principles with modern artificial intelligence technologies. The platform is envisioned to support practitioners and patients through an AI-enabled consultation framework that preserves traditional knowledge while improving accessibility and scalability in the digital age.

The official signing ceremony will take place in Thimphu, Bhutan on March 24, 2026, during Mr. Ken’s visit to Bhutan. The launch of the Gakid wellness product line will be jointly supported by both organizations and this partnership reflects Bhutan’s growing role in bringing its traditional knowledge systems to the global stage while embracing responsible technological innovation.
