Our Bhutan Partner - Kinley

Kinley was born and raised in the heart of Bhutan. He was raised with the country's culture and values, and has had fond memories of his childhood in his family's land in Dagana that once flourished in his grandmother's time.

His path did not begin in tourism. After completing his Bachelor's in Computer Application, Kinley joined the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry as an IT professional, where he worked for six years. It was steady, capable work. But over those years he noticed that what energised him most was not the systems he managed, it was people. He loved meeting strangers, hearing their stories, and learning about their cultures and their food.

So he decided to follow that. Kinley left his career in IT to begin his entrepreneurial journey, and GoXimbo was born a travel advisory built on a single conviction: that Bhutan should be experienced through its history, spirituality, and real life, not as a brochure.

As a travel advisor, Kinley designs journeys for travellers who want more than sightseeing. He guides them off the well-worn routes and into the Bhutan he grew up in sunrise at the Tiger's Nest before the crowds arrive, quiet hours inside centuries old dzongs, festivals where the masks and chants have not changed in generations, remote valleys most visitors never reach, and meals and conversations in the homes of ordinary Bhutanese. Each itinerary is built by hand around the traveller, not pulled off a shelf. For many of his guests it becomes the trip of a lifetime not because of luxury alone, but because they leave having felt something true about the country, and often about themselves.

That same instinct for bringing people together led to a milestone Kinley still holds dear. In 2017, he co-hosted with Ken, 46 members of MyEO Engage part of the global Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) for an event in Bhutan, welcoming founders from around the world into his home country. It placed him within a worldwide community of entrepreneurs who believe, as he does, that business can be a force for meaning and not only profit.

Today, Kinley is returning to where it all began his village, and his family's land in Dagana. There he is building Live Again Farm, a farmstay retreat where travellers come not just to see Bhutan, but to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover their purpose. The idea is simple and quietly radical: people arrive carrying the weight of busy lives, and they leave having remembered how to live again.

On the very land that flourished in his grandmother's era, Kinley hopes to help others find what he found when he stopped chasing and started living a life of meaning, rooted in place, people, and purpose.
